Increase governor and SLT awareness of the importance of biodiversity
Educate your decision makers about the significance of improving biodiversity in and around your setting. This creates a foundation from which to build your setting's approach to improving biodiversity.
Build a whole-setting awareness of biodiversity
Educate everyone at your setting, including your staff, children and young people, and parents (where appropriate), about the importance of biodiversity and actions we can take to support it.
Agree roles and responsibilities to support biodiversity progress
Define, agree and integrate any duties that contribute to enhancing biodiversity into your staff's roles.
Plan a session on biodiversity as part of your behaviour change programme
Organise sessions to educate your whole community on the topic of biodiversity, and how their actions can positively impact local ecosystems.
Seek input from staff, learners and parents on biodiversity initiatives
Gather ideas and feedback from stakeholders, including parents if appropriate, about any current and future biodiversity initiatives you have planned.
