Use the results of your regular travel survey, along with your carbon footprint calculation, to understand which travel habits create the most significant contribution to your setting's carbon and greenhouse gas emissions.
Gather input from your staff, parents, learners on any action you have taken to promote sustainable and active travel options. You may choose to gather this feedback through your regular travel survey, or in conversations with your community.
Plan a set of actions that will promote and facilitate sustainable and active travel over time. To inform the development of the travel plan, use the information collected through your regular travel survey, as well as your assessment of any on-site sustainable travel solutions.
Develop resources to facilitate walking, cycling, or other sustainable modes of transportation to and from your setting. This might include maps of safe walking routes or information about local cycling paths.
