Develop networks for green skills and careers
Formalise and broaden your networks around green skills and climate education. Look for opportunities to develop alumni networks.
Tap into your existing alumni network and identify ways for them to support your climate education and green skills plan. Alumni who are working in climate-related fields can serve as valuable resources, offering real-world insights and expertise to your staff and learners.
Building on the outreach you have started to develop with other education settings, start to connect with external networks focussed on improving climate education and green skills.
External networks can provide resources, professional development, and partnerships to better equip your learners for the growing green economy.
Building on the work you’ve done to partner with organisations to support climate education, green skills and career goals, consider formalising these partnerships. This will lead to improved outcomes and help transform one-off collaborations into more consistent, long-term arrangements that benefit both parties. It can also help to establish clearer structure, accountability, and oversight. You may need to speak to your finance and operations team to make this happen.
Once you have established a network with organisations operating nationally or locally in climate education and green skills, consider expanding this to have an international reach.
