Identify some general waste quick wins

Use the findings from your waste audit to identify some simple, immediate changes which will improve your waste practices. This could include reducing waste, repurposing and reusing items, improving your recycling, and composting.

Investigate which of the many local and national organisations can best provide support to your setting in running campaigns to engage all learners, staff and your wider communities.

This can create cost savings on waste disposal, reduce your setting's environmental impact, and also provide an opportunity to educate your community about waste and sustainable habits. These interventions set a positive example for children and young people on the importance of reducing waste and protecting the planet.

Create a list to save actions and resources, or make a plan for your setting.
