Integrate biodiversity into your estates and site management practices

Ideally, your setting’s land management plan should include goals aimed at increasing biodiversity. To ensure this, consider adopting and integrating specific policy and management practices designed to introduce or restore diverse habitats, using native plants, and adopting sustainable practices like organic fertilisers and reduced pesticide use.

You might also consider waste management and composting, management of invasive species, and the installation of wildlife-friendly features such as bird boxes.

Benefits will include biodiversity net gain through support for local ecosystems and wildlife, improving soil health, water conservation, and community involvement, whilst leading to a more resilient and sustainable environment right across your setting.
