Identify local organisations to partner with on biodiversity initiatives

Expand your networks to include community groups, environmental NGOs and your local council. Collaborating with these organisations can help bring additional resources, funding, capacity and expertise to your biodiversity efforts. Expanding your network can also help you to gain access to small pockets of funding or free resources which are available at a local and national level, for example trees, or native plants and seeds.

Search for local ones near to or operating in your area and begin to explore co-beneficial relationships, helping you and your community. Use your existing or new networks to uncover these. Where appropriate, try to set expectations as early as possible. It may help to pilot a programme in the first instance before seeing how the relationship can develop.

Create a list to save actions and resources, or make a plan for your setting.
