Part of Let’s Go Zero, Climate Action Advisors are independent experts who offer free support for schools, colleges, and nurseries across England.
Appoint a member of your SLT to be responsible for net zero delivery
Identify a member of your Senior Leadership Team (SLT) who will oversee your setting's efforts to reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to net zero. It is important that this person understand and accepts the responsibilities of this role.
A dedicated person in the SLT will ensure that action on sustainability remains a priority, and support the net zero lead to access any training, resources and budget required to help them in their role. Assigning a clear point of SLT responsibility early in your setting's sustainability journey will also help to improve the efficiency of any planning, communication or project delivery.
